Who Are We?
At The Driving Seat, we believe learning to drive is about more than passing a test — it’s about building confidence, calm and control behind the wheel. Founded by Bhav, a qualified ADI with a passion for empowering learners, our approach blends structured teaching with genuine encouragement. Bhav became an instructor to help people overcome nerves and discover the freedom that driving brings — and that belief shapes every lesson we deliver.

My Teaching Approach
At The Driving Seat, every lesson is tailored to you. As a female driving instructor, I understand how important it is to feel comfortable and at ease behind the wheel — especially in those early lessons. Whether you’re nervous about roundabouts, struggling with manoeuvres or just need more motorway confidence, I structure each session around what you need to work on — not a one-size-fits-all programme.
Manual Lessons
From clutch control to finding the biting point and making smooth gear changes, our manual lessons build your control and confidence from the first mile.
Automatic Driving Lessons
With no clutch or biting point to manage, automatic lessons focus on smooth acceleration, steady braking and clear decisions — all at your pace from the first mile.
Covering Shirley and South Birmingham
I cover test routes from four local test centres: Shirley, South Yardley, Garretts Green and Kings Heath. Lessons take place on the real roads you’ll encounter on test day, so nothing comes as a surprise when it counts.
